WebApr 9, 2024 · The plugs need to go through the plaster and into the brick. You are not drilling the hole deep enough for the screws you are using and the screw is hitting the brick. I would use brown plugs and 2 1/2" no 10 screws myself. Try drilling the holes deeper and make sure the plugs are under the plaster.
