WebOct 9, 2015 · The JD10 is a very simple circuit. A pair of clipping diodes followed by a speaker emulator circuit. There's a bit more to it, but not a whole lot. I suspect the Tech21 products have more complicated circuitry. I've never seen their schematics, but I've read that they use FETs or MOSFETs to achieve their distortion. WebJun 13, 2006 · My favorite SS device (as I've said a million times before here) is the Morley JD10 pedal which, when coupled with squeaky clean SS amp, can sound amazingly tube-like. Now there have been times when I've preferred THAT combination over tube amps, but that was just probably my own ears malfunctioning that day! The bottom line is whatever works. scully fueling system
