WebFeb 2, 2024 · I have an apple watch series 6 with current OS version 7.2 and iphone 12 pro max with latest version of OS. I have this issue when I get a text message, I will read it on my phone but my apple watch still shows it as unread. I also will respond to a text message and the watch will display my response as an unread message. WebIn iMessage, tap the forward button at the bottom of the message, and it will send the message to the recipient. After sending the message, the recipient will see a duplicate message with the status “Unread.” To make the text message unread on the iPhone, simply swipe to the right side of the screen.
