After the incubation, the urease broth was a deep pink meaning that it is positive for urease. Finally, a DNase test was performed by streaking my gram + organism on a DNase plate and incubating it at 36 hours for 37 °C. WebIn this lab, a Gram stain, biochemical tests, selective and/or differential media, and rapid membrane tests were performed on an unknown bacterium. The Gram stain revealed that the unknown bacterium was Gram positive. The biochemical tests revealed that the unknown bacterium was a positive for glucose, peptone, and urea, and a negative for litmus.
